Account deletion is separate
Deleting an adult EasyKids2Go account differs from cancelling software renewal, closing company service, ending transportation or deleting every record concerning a child. The transportation provider and other authorized guardians may retain records within their authority and applicable obligations.
Delete your adult account in the app
- Sign in and open Settings.
- Choose Account, then Delete Account.
- Review the effect and confirm using your password in the app.
After the verified request completes successfully, access is disabled, active sessions and device tokens are revoked, and covered identifying profile data is removed or anonymized. Covered private messages and owned account files are removed where applicable; shared records are not automatically erased.
Self-service deletion is blocked during active child custody, a driver’s active shift/trip or assigned active route, and for the last active company administrator or Platform super-administrator. Resolve the safety or administrative condition, or submit a separate privacy request. A safety block does not remove the right to request review.
Request deletion without signing in
Email easykids2go@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my EasyKids2Go account”. State the adult’s name, account email or phone, role and company, and whether the request concerns the account or specific data. Do not send passwords, child codes, QR codes or unnecessary medical/custody documents.
Sending an email submits a request; it does not itself delete the account. We verify identity and any required authority before disclosing or changing protected data. We respond within 30 calendar days of receipt, or a shorter applicable deadline, explaining scope, progress, completion or a justified exception and next steps. Verification does not arbitrarily restart that clock. A response or acknowledgment is not proof of completed erasure; execution follows applicable legal and contractual deadlines, without undue delay.
Request correction or deletion of specific data
You may request correction, access or deletion of specific data without closing the adult account. Identify only the records necessary to review the request. Requests concerning a child require proportionate verification of guardian authority and applicable custody restrictions. Where another person’s rights or a specific legal duty require retention, we explain the scope and reason and restrict use accordingly.
Retention and exceptions
| Category | Retention period and scope |
|---|---|
| Adult account and profile | On successful verified account deletion, account access and sessions are revoked and covered identifying profile data is removed or anonymized. The prior commitment of up to 12 months after a deletion request continues for records it covers; it does not justify delaying deletion that can properly occur sooner. Shared, child and company records require separate review. |
| Shift GPS points, with or without a trip | Scheduled cleanup uses 90 calendar days from each point’s recorded timestamp. The earlier notice’s 90-day commitment from trip end remains preserved where applicable. These limits are not extended by this notice; completed deletion and copies must be checked separately. |
| GPS diagnostics | Scheduled cleanup uses 30 calendar days from creation of the diagnostic sample, distinct from an operational point’s timestamp. |
| Trips, custody and signatures | The prior three-year retention commitment remains applicable to the records it covers. At expiry they must be deleted or anonymized unless a specific lawful preservation duty applies; review does not create an automatic extension. This is not a universal period for all medical or contractual documents. |
| Messages, attachments and voice | The prior 12-month retention commitment remains applicable to records it covers. Hiding a conversation is not erasure. Shared recipients and backup copies require separate treatment; a specific lawful hold must be documented, restricted and reviewed. |
| Activity and technical logs | Activity cleanup is scheduled at 90 days. The prior 90-day log commitment is preserved. Technical channels have different rotations, including a daily channel configured for 14 days; that setting does not define retention of every log. |
| Waitlist | Delete upon request or 12 months after the last contact, whichever is earlier, subject to a specific lawful preservation requirement. Unsubscribing from communications and deleting the record are separate actions. |
| Closed company | The technical reopening window is 30 days from effective company closure. Its expiry triggers a review report, not automatic erasure. The separate period for requesting an export begins at the effective end of the software service. |
| Other categories and copies | Child records, medical documents, incidents, absences, authorized adults, credentials, agreements, invoices, consent records, backups and exports are retained only for documented category-specific purposes and applicable periods. Tax or accounting law does not impose one universal seven-year rule on all records. A specific legal hold must state its reason, scope, access limits, review and end; it is not indefinite general retention. |
